  so this weekend my wife had a major grand mal seizure for the first time in her life.

  she was rushed to the er.

  a few hours later while i was at her side she had another major one.. it was the scariest moment in my life.

  His problems get worse and worse, he doesn't take constructive advice, he keeps whining about how much drama he has in his so-called "life".

  It is reminiscent of the Trevor incident, isn't it? And who first challenged Trevor's honesty?

  If Bro Da is for real, he needs real help, and he's a real fool for thinking he can get what he needs here.

  As for giving his wife a seizure; BroDa - give me a seizure - RIGHT NOW! You can't, nor did you give your wife a seizure.

  You're like a circuit assembly drama that has long worn out its welcome. Somebody play song #95, for christsakes! Put an AMEN to it.

  First of all, your wife's doctors should do an MRI to see if there is a tumor in her skull that causes the seizures. There may also be other reasons for the seizures, but NONE OF THEM is that "you are apostate." So find better more rational doctors.

  Second, I'm an atheist. Soon you will be too. Your invisible friend let you down? Maybe that's because he's NOT REAL. DOH!

  How can they claim that every prophecy in the bible has a greater fulfilment today???

  seems that the gb take every story they can in the bible and claim that although it happened then, it will also happen now.

  although this time it will be the gb who is jehosophat, david, paul, jermiah... etc etc take your pick.

  what scriptual basis do they have for this belief??

  From the beginning, the religion taught by Charles Taze Russell was a dispensationalist religion. What this means is that they believe that history can be seen as a series of divinely appointed "age": if you've ever seen one of the early bible Students charts, that is exactly what they were getting at.

  

  Jehovah';s Witnesses no longer advertise their dispensationalist origins, but they still cling to the underlying philosophy: that history repeats itself.

  Thus, everything that happened back in "Bible Days" has some kind of greater fulfillment in this age. Presumably, the things that happen today will also be echoed at some future time, though the WTB&TS has never, as far as I know, come right out and said this.

  This is a stupid and addle-brained doctrine from the early 19th century. According to wikipedia, "As a system, dispensationalism is rooted in the writings of John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) and the Brethren Movement."

  It isn't something that CTR came up with on his own, it is simply another one of many ideas that CTR borrowed from to cobble together his particular form of "Godly devotion."

  It is great fertilizer for your spring garden.

  The Future: the "Quickening" - and not Armageddon

  take a good look at recent world events:.

  violent revolution thruout the middle east - which, after decades of dictatorial stability, may have been triggered by social networking on the internet and cell phones.. all sorts of stories out in the open about ufo encounters, national governments releasing their files on the subject - and a nasa scientist claims hard evidence of et life from a meterorite.. while the braindead media follows charlie sheen's descent, the focardi and rossi experiments in italy get ignored.

  scientist edmond storms predicts a "stampead" if this is the final tipping point in favor of 'cold fusion' - a future of cheap, inexhaustable energy.. 'watson' wins some remarkable victories on jeopardy - suggesting solid progress towards artificial intelligence.. wikileaks threatens national governments and scofflaw 'too big to fail' banks.. scientists clone an extinct species, create artificial cellular life, come close to explaining the aging process and create near miracles with stem cells.. when looking at the future, some use the term 'singularity' - but i like the phrase "the quickening" - a relatively sudden burst of technical progress that changes every aspect of modern life and culture.

  A recent TV show about tectonic activity in the area of the Great Rift valley in Africa explained how the sedimentary deposits around the Red Sea show periods of approximately 10,000 years of considerable (violent) earthquake activity (demonstrated by fantastic compound folds in the normally flat sediment layers) followed by 10,000 years of relative quiet, earthquake-wise.

  According to the geologist, the Middle East is ending its most recent period of quietude. Of course on a scale of 10,000 years one cannot make predictions in terms of hours, days, months, years or even decades, but future generations may see a resumption of the kind of tectonic activity that consumed Sodom and Gomorrah and leveled early Middle Eastern human settlements.

  One Roman fort from the time of Masada was shown - it was build directly above the fault line and one part of its wall was separated from the other part by what looked to be a distance of about one foot. The geologist explained that knowing what they know of the drift rate of the plates involved, that separation was about FOUR FEET too short, which suggests enough potential geologic energy is stored to produce an earthquake of magnitude 7+ on the Richter scale.

  CTR was not buried in a masonic cemetery.

  The Mason Hall across the street from the cemetery wasn't built until the 1950's. You may recall that CTR died on Halloween 1916.

  Do youself a fovor an READ what Barb Anderson learned from the Pennsylvania Masons. EXAMINE the geneology given above that shows that CTR was not the nephew of William Huntington Russell.

  These are the facts, get to know them. Let your worldview be congruent with reality.

  I would like to address this comment, since it is one of my favorite Watchtower fallacies:

  "[Jehovah's Witnesses] do not have a particular leader, strong or otherwise."

  1. Were The Bible Students a cult when they had charismatic Pastor Charles Taze Russell alive and leading the Watch Tower Society? If not, why?

  2. Were The Bible Students a cult after Pastor Charles Taze Russell died and authoritarian "Judge" Joseph Franklin Rutherford took over as the leader of the Watch Tower Society? If not, why?

  3. It was during the administration of "Judge" Rutherford that the concept of the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" CLASS emerged. This is a CLASS, or "group entity" supposedly made from some of the anointed. Beyond the fact that there is no scriptural basis for such a CLASS, this group entity is similar in form to a corporate entity - a composite "Leader" that exists only as a distrubuted thing.

  4. Followers of the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society follow the strong leadership of this GROUP ENTITY, the charismatic and authoritarian "Faithful and Discreet Slave." Proof of this is seen in the fact that when a doctrine is modified by the WTB&TS, it is INSTANTLY accepted as "prsent truth" by JWs around the world. No discussion or debate is permitted. Anyone who disagrees is threatened with being labeled an "apostate" and being subjected to shunning.
